With more than thirty years in the drives industry Jon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the services we provide. Starting his carrier at one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of DC Drives in the early 1980’s he gained experience in the manufacture, test and application of drive products. When Jon left the company in 2004 he was responsible for all of the customer facing aspects of the business, including both internal technical support and the external field service team.

Wanting to broaden his experience and product knowledge Jon then formed a business as a system integrator in the North of England with two work colleagues. This enabled him to work with other suppliers of drive products and importantly to extend his knowledge of the associated control equipment such as PLC’s and industrial communications networks. When the opportunity came to work with a lifelong friend and mechanical engineering enthusiast Jeremy Burbidge, DAB Drive Systems was created in early 2010 and within a few months the partnership was already winning orders and looking into new ways to support it’s customers.
